The Royal Wedding is right around the corner, and Kate and Prince William’s story is a wonderful example of how a girl really can have it all! A few weeks ago, Boys Before Business wrote a blog entry about the importance of being open to receiving the man of your dreams and realizing that sometimes he doesn’t come in the package we expect him to. Do you remember reading it? This same thing has happened to Prince William and Kate! The press refers to Kate as a “commoner,” and she and her soon-to-be husband are breaking all of the old rules about whom a Prince should marry. Typically, a prince is supposed to marry someone from royalty, which Kate is not. But once again, true love can and does overcome everything. For Prince William, where his finance comes from is much less important than who she is and how he feels about her. Congratulations to them!

So tell us: Where did you meet your Prince Charming? Was his arrival a total surprise, or had you been planning for him? Has your relationship flowed easily, or did you have some bumps along the way? What were the challenges that the two of you had to successfully overcome, and how has your love been able to rise above these challenges? And finally, how have you been able to HAVE IT ALL?

Boys Before Business has had the pleasure of collaborating with Beaches Resorts By Sandals as curriculum trainers during their fun BFF Girls Getaway programs. We are excited to be visiting the Turks and Caicos resort in May and again in October. During those visits, we will be lounging in the sun, getting massages, and maybe even be taking a catamaran cruise! Of course, we will also be talking about strategies that will help you find and keep the man of your dreams.

Ali Fedotowsky did it! She put Boys Before Business in front of a national television audience and it paid off. Big Time!

She focused on finding her true love – and find him she did.

Now we can’t wait to watch Ali’s career soar as a result of her rockin’ romance with Roberto.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Patti Stanger stood strong with her Must Have Traits and called off her engagement with long time boyfriend, Andy Friedman. She wants to have children, she said in People.com’s Sunday article, that’s a dealbreaker for her.

We applaud Patti’s decision to stick to the traits that are most important to her in her relationship.

We wish her much happiness as she seeks her real Mr. Right.

Finding the right man can be scary.  You have built a life for yourself and you are happy and the thought of change can be scary.  Doubt can creep into your mind quickly raising questions about what if it doesn’t work out.  Again think of your language, and start thinking about what if it DOES work out.

Sometimes it seems easier to go it alone, why bother at all with finding Mr. Right.  Finding him might mean you might have to compromise, change your schedule, open up, take a risk and what if you waste your time and he’s not the one?

If you have been single for awhile chances are you are content.  You have built a life that suits you and you are happy so why rock the boat.  Why take the chance at possible heartache and what if you spend all this time with someone who turns out to be Mr. Wrong, then you have wasted valuable time.

Instead of thinking about all the things that scare you, go back to when you were a little girl and think about how you envisioned your life and your relationships.  Did you picture your life holding hands with the man of your dreams, traveling to exotic place, growing old and swinging on the front porch?  All those dreams are still possible.  It’s up to you to believe in them again and take action.

Anna Paquin, the star of HBO’s True Blood and Academy Award winner says it best in her interview in the July issue of Self Magazine. “Fitting somebody else’s model doesn’t make you happier. You’ll live a full and happy if you pursue things you think are important and live the life you want to live.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

Boys Before Business wants you to live the life you want to live. It is time to know what you want and be confident in getting it.

When asked if she was happy about her weight, Anna said, ” I don’t know too many women who are 100 percent happy, but I’m the happiest I’ve been. For me, it has more to do with being fulfilled in other areas of life, not how many hours I’m at the gym. If you’re not happy in other areas of your life, you’re not going to be happy with the way you look.”

We always say don’t stop looking for Mr. Right, the right job or business relationship just because you want to lose those extra ten pounds. Go create your own happiness now and get fulfilled with the things you like to do so you can be happy and attract the person you want.

There were ten of us in a circle on the last day of a week long Jack Canfield event one summer not too long ago.

Jen and I looked across the circle and something clicked.  I liked what she said. She liked what I was saying, so much so that mid-sentence Jen blurted out, “I’d like you to be my accountability partner.”  I said yes instantly, not even knowing what she wanted in a partner.

What happened that week changed everything for me and our partnership was the icing on the cake.  Together we wrote a book and are now on a mission to empower millions of women.  The book has been just the beginning.

The results of that week were beyond any of my expectations.  Here’s the short list of what happened:

• I met the man of my dreams shortly after that event. Three months later we were engaged and nine months later we were married
• I fulfilled a life long dream of writing a book
• I created another business with a person I met at the event
• I improved every relationship in my life
• I used the same tools and techniques in my everyday business and was able to teach and train and inspire my team to reach their goals

Sex and the City opens this weekend!

This is a great time to grab your girlfriends for some good ole fashion Girlie Fun.  The women of Sex in the City are on a constant quest to have it all.

They are all strong women who know what they want and who go after their dreams.  They each have different goals, dreams and personalities but they also have a very important common value, they put their relationships first.  They take time for each other and are there for each other for the good times and bad.

Having these relationships have made them all more successful in their personal romantic relationships as well as their professional lives.  They have all had their ups and downs but they have managed to come through with shining colors.  We know it’s a movie and not real life, but why can’t it be. When you put relationships first you can have the Hollywood movie ending.

Think about the relationships in your life and how they have enhanced your days, months and years.  Relationships are truly what make you rich.  Have fun at the movies and afterward decide what it is you want and go for it.

It’s Your Time to Have It All!

We hit the Dallas market by storm with two book signings and a live event at Saks Fifth Avenue with Trish McEvoy make-up artists bringing our the best in each of our guests.

Then it was Los Angeles for the DSWA National Convention.  We met so many amazing people and had a chance to teach people about how to discover what’s important for you and understand your core values then decide what you want by writing your Dear God Letter.

Knowing your values and what you want with boys and business lays the foundation for success.  Sounds easy but we often don’t take the time to actually sit down think about this let alone write it down.  By taking the time to write down your core values and their definitions and by writing down what you want, you have taken the first step in having it all.
